Forget the Oscars, the Grammys, the Emmys, heck even the People’s Choice, these are the awards you want to walk away with… Now Presenting, the highly subjective and sort of fair Favorite #FOKT Beer Name Awards. The best part is these awards are online so no annoying wrap it up music for the winners. On with the show!

BEST USE OF SEATTLE SPORTS NOSTALGIA NAME

Winner: McMenamins Breweries’ SuperSonic Pale Ale
We’re not sure if it’s as smooth as Ray Allen’s 3pt shot, but it sure does make us miss Gary Payton’s electric glove-like defense.

Runner Up: 210 Brewery Co’s C-Hawk Boc
Smart move to align yourself with Seattle’s favorite sons Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, Doug Baldwin, and well you get the point… Seattle loves them some Hawks.

BEST MOST MIND-BLOWING, WE CAN’T QUITE WRAP OUR HEADS AROUND IT, BUT WE LOVE THE NAME NAME

Winner: Firestone Walker Brewing Co’s Luponic Distortion
Sort of sounds like a plot of a science fiction movie, but more importantly, sounds like a beer that we absolutely try to see what in the world can best be described as Luponic Distortion.

Runner Up: Elysian Brewing Co’s Dragonstooth Stout
Sort of sounds like a character on Game of Thrones, but also sounds like a beer that is must-see.

BEST USE OF ABBREVS NAME

Winner: Lagunitas Brewing Co’s WTF
Besides the maybe the OG omg, everyone’s fave abbrev is WTF, so by the magical power of deduction, Lagunitas’ WTF must be everyone’s fave beer.

Runner Up: Two Beers Brewing’s Hoppy AF
While WTF may be everyones historical fave abbrev, AF may be 2017’s. Everyone needs to try this beer quickly AF.

BEST MAKE US HANGRY NAME

Winner: Wild Ride Brewing’s Nut Crusher Peanut Butter Porter
Everything is better with peanut butter. Seriously, ever had an oreo dipped in peanut butter? Lindsay Lohan was on to something in the Parent Trap. So if history means anything, the Nut Crusher Peanut Butter Porter is about to be incredible.

Runner Up: Cascade Lake’s Brewing Co’s Salted Caramel Porter
Lets be honest, caramel is incredible on it’s own, but whoever had the idea of adding salt is a certified genius. The same can be said of the beer genius who had the bright idea to crank up a porter with a little SC.

BEST USE OF A ROBERT DOWNEY JR NAME

Winner: Peddler Brewing Co’s Tropic Thunder IPA
Tropic Thunder can only be described as a modern cinema marvel. And any beer that pays tribute to RDJ can only be described as a modern beer marvel.

Runner Up: Unfortunately no Iron Man IPA or Sherlock Holmes Stout grace our list 🙁
