TIP 3: MAKE WORKING OUT A FAMILY AFFAIR
The family who works out together stays together! As cliché as it sounds, it’s true. Parents who encourage their children to exercise are not only giving their children a healthy foundation, they are also reinforcing family bonds and creating traditions. Plan to make Sunday a true family day. Begin the morning getting in a fun family work out, racing through Fremont in the Street Scramble. Then head over to Fremont Oktoberfest for an afternoon of family friendly beer tasting – root for the kiddies and the real deal for the parents!

TIP 4: SLEEP
It’s true when they say sleep is as essential as diet and exercise. When you’re sleep deprived, you can’t release as much and your muscles don’t get repaired properly, which leads to injuries. Basically, the harder you train, the more sleep you need. Same goes for Fremont Oktoberfest. The harder you want to go at our “21-Run,” the more rest you need. Lucky for you, we have long hours. We open early at 11 am on Saturday and don’t close until midnight. Your choice to get up early and get home for a good night sleep or sleep in late and party until the wee hours.

TIP 5: MAKE A PLAYLIST
It is legitimately, scientifically proven that music with a prominent and consistent beat encourages runners to move more quickly, and that running to a specific tempo helped improve their energy level and oxygen intake over time. While you’ll have to make yourself a playlist that gets you moving during a run, we’ve gone ahead and compiled an incredible music lineup up to keep you going during Fremont Oktoberfest. What’s better than groovin’ with your friends with a beer in hand?
